Biography

Nina de Man started her career in the marketing department of an international record company (Edel Records) prior to graduating as a translator from the University of Antwerp. After acquiring the necessary experience in the field of communication, she started her own company, PitchWork, blending communication with trend research.

Nina is currently a correspondent for London based The Future Laboratory, a consultancy agency offering trend forecasting, brand strategy and consumer insight, and for "Culture Shock" on BBC World Radio. In Belgium, her contributions to the media encompass a lengthy collaboration with JIM-Tv, the equivalent of MTV, and two
seasons of "Idols" where she took part as the only female jury member. She also represented Belgium in "World Idols", an impressive production that was broadcast worldwide on Fox.

Furthermore there is a firm collaboration between PitchWork and Pocket Marketing, a trend agency run by internationally renowned trendwatcher Herman Konings. They have put together projects and trend briefings for the likes of Philips, Electrolux and Mobistar. Nina has also been working for leading alternative radio station for the past five years, presenting "Switch" on Saturday evening and hosting "Lazy Sunday" on Sunday afternoons.
